Red2Blue
Performing Under Pressure
A practical mental skills solution that helps individuals and teams recognise pressure, stay present and execute with reliability when it counts.
Whether preparing for a performance event or operating in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, the ability to maintain control of attention is fundamental to high performance. Red2Blue is a proven mental skills framework that helps individuals and teams recognise pressure, stay present and execute with clarity when it matters most.
Designed using the evidence-based Gazing Performance methodology, this development program introduces participants to the Red2Blue model and its system of tools, rituals and decision-making processes that support staying “on task” under pressure. The program is widely applied across industries including emergency services, defence, elite sport, retail, customer-facing environments, education and corporate settings—any context where clarity under pressure directly influences outcomes.
This program supports participants to:

understand how attention, emotions and thinking influence outcomes.
transition from Red (doubt and overwhelm) to Blue (clarity and presence).
apply practical tools to maintain focus, adapt quickly and make deliberate choices.
develop personal and team strategies for performing effectively under pressure.
prepare for and reflect on key performance moments using a consistent mental framework.

Program Design
-
The program begins with a focus on understanding how individuals respond to pressure. Participants explore their personal indicators of Red and Blue states, analyse attention patterns, and deepen awareness of how thoughts, emotions and behaviour influence performance. This establishes the foundation required for the effective use of Red2Blue tools.
-
This stage introduces the core Red2Blue concepts and practical tools. Participants experience the Recognise–Accept–Choose method, grounding rituals and attention-control techniques, including the Gazing Principle. Through hands-on activities, they begin to understand how to redirect attention deliberately in moments of pressure.
-
Participants then move into deeper application of the Red2Blue system. They explore practical tools such as What-If planning, the Screw-Up Cascade and the Priority Planner, learning how to anticipate challenges, build resilience and develop practical strategies for maintaining clarity and focus under pressure.
-
Team members complete individual psychometric assessment, to deepen individual insight and guide targeted performance development.
-
Where team performance is a priority, the program expands into team-based sessions that strengthen alignment and collective behaviour under pressure. Teams establish a shared language, identify collective pressure points and develop performance routines that enhance trust, cohesion and reliability.
-
Participants may take part in one-on-one coaching sessions that personalise the Red2Blue process. Coaching helps individuals refine their rituals, strengthen mindset habits and address unique performance barriers, building confidence and clarity for high-stakes moments.
-
The program concludes with structured reflection using the Red2Blue Performance Timeline and Mental Skills X-Check. Participants examine where their attention was placed, what influenced their performance and what improvements they can carry into future performance moments. This stage reinforces continuous growth and long-term development.
